M&Ms are some of the most popular sweets in the world, and fans are just now learning what the Ms stand for on chocolate. The edition told in more detail Daily Mail.
Delicious chocolate was invented in the USA in 1941 and this snack became known for its hard shell and soft interior.
While many assume that the name was inspired by the "mmm" sound made when you eat chocolate, this is not the case.
The name M&Ms comes from the names of the two founders, Forrest Mars Sr., who founded Mars Inc., and Bruce Murry.
In the 1930s, Forrest Mars came up with the idea for the iconic treat after noticing that customers would eat hard-shell chocolates to prevent melting.

He joined forces with Bruce Murry, son of the president of Hershey's Chocolate, to develop the idea.
Shortly thereafter, M&M's appeared in stores, which remain popular on store shelves to this day.
Fans were shocked to find out what the brand's name actually means.
“Damn, learn something new every day,” wrote one person. Another added: "This is actually information that I haven't seen before."
M&Ms have been sold in over 100 countries since 2003, and many new colors and flavors have been introduced in recent years.
The slogan "melts in your mouth, not in your hands" also remains relevant and perfectly describes chocolate.
In the UK, US and European countries, shoppers can also indulge in M&Ms.
In 2017, Mars released the M&Ms Chocolate Block in six different flavors: Milky, Hazelnut, Crispy, Crispy Mint, and Strawberry.
