On August 23, three hateful teenagers kicked a 13-year-old Jewish boy off a bus in Staten Island. They tore off his yarmulke from his head and ran away with it, reports New York Daily News.
The cops have released security footage of the suspects and are asking the public to help identify and track them down.
Anti-Semitic crimes are up 48% this year compared to the same period last year, according to NYPD statistics.
The teenage victim was driving an MTA bus S79 on Hylan Boulevard in New Dorp. Then two teenage boys and a teenage girl started molesting him around 18:00 pm on July 21, the cops said. When the bus stopped near Abbitts Street, the trio kicked the teenager off the bus. And before that, they tore off his yarmulke from his head and ran away with it.

The NYPD Hate Crime Task Force is investigating. Investigators are investigating a series of anti-Semitic incidents in Brooklyn in recent days.
On August 22, a man hit a 27-year-old Jew on Lynch Street near Marcy Avenue. The day before, two Jews had been doused with a fire extinguisher and one had been punched in separate attacks within moments of each other.
No arrests were made in any of these cases.
As of August 21, police were investigating 177 anti-Semitic crimes this year. This is 48% more than last year.
