Giant Corn Maze Opens in New York City: It's Great Fun for the Whole Family

New Yorkers don't have easy access to nature. Citizens can't always take part in healthy fall activities. Time-out tells the story of an unusual corn maze in Queens that will bring a fun autumn mood to the whole family.
The famous Amazing Maize Maze is back at the Queens County Farm Museum. It consists of 1,2 hectares of giant corn stalks. The journey begins with Stalk Talk. A staff member will tell you how to find clues, solve puzzles, and ultimately find your way to Victory Bridge.
Butterfly Maze
Every year its shape changes. This year labyrinth Shaped like a monarch butterfly, the species begins its life cycle on milkweed plants on the farm before migrating nearly 5000 km to Mexico each year.

Unfortunately, the monarch butterfly population has declined by about 90% in the last 20 years. This is largely due to the decline of milkweed, a plant that is the monarch caterpillar's primary food source.
The labyrinth is not only a fun family activity entertainment, but also a tribute to an endangered species that we all must protect.
The maze can take anywhere from 20 to 40 minutes to complete. Once you're done with the maze, the Queens County Farm Museum offers hay rides for $6 per person. You'll be able to see a variety of farm animals, including sheep, goats, pigs, and even alpacas.
Opening hours and tickets
The Amazing Maize Maze is open Friday through Sunday until October 26th. The maze will be open on Fridays from 14:00pm to 17:30pm, with last entry at 17:00pm, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00am to 16:30pm, with last entry at 16:00pm.
The easiest way to get to the maze is by car. The Queens County Farm Museum offers free parking for visitors. If you can't drive, the farm can be reached by MTA buses Q46, QM6, and Q36.
Tickets are $14 for adults and $10 for children ages 4 to 11. Children ages 3 and under are free. Online tickets must be purchased before visiting. They can be found here.
