Real estate rental prices are rising every day. But it is not all that bad. Time-out tells what kind of housing you can rent for $1500 in New York and its suburbs.
According to surveyAccording to RentCafe, $1500 in Manhattan will get you an average of about 21 square feet of living space. This is about the size of a large bedroom or a very, very cramped one-bedroom apartment.
Slightly larger housing for $1500 can be found in other districts: 28 square meters in Brooklyn and 34 square meters in Queens. Plus there are plenty of entertainment and restaurants there that will definitely be cheaperthan in Manhattan.

If you're looking for rentals outside of the city, Rochester offers the most space for a $1500 budget, according to the survey. For this money you can rent a whopping 86 square meters.
Second on the list was Buffalo. There, for this price you can rent an apartment with an area of 81 square meters.
Outside New York
In other cities across the country, $1500 won't get you much. In Miami - 49 square meters, Seattle - 42 square meters and in San Diego 41 square meters.
On the other hand, cities that offer fairly decent-sized homes for this price include Little Rock (120 square meters), Oklahoma City (125 square meters) and McAllen, Texas (132 square meters).
