Tickets from $6: Amtrak launches spring sale

Amtrak has announced a spring sale where you can buy a ticket from Boston to New York for just $25. According to Time-out, you can save at least 25% on your tickets if you book them right now.

Sale runs until Friday, February 23rd. Discounts only apply to travel booked between 1 March and 23 May 2024.

Traveling from Baltimore to New York, for example, costs just $23 one way, and from Boston to New York - $25. Shorter trips can be made for even less. For example, one-way tickets from Boston to Providence can be purchased for as little as $6.

On the West Coast, travelers can fly from Los Angeles to Seattle for just $108 one way, or travel cross-country from Chicago to Los Angeles for just $119. Discounts also apply to “flex” tariffs, which are refundable in case of cancellation.

Travelers can book tickets on most Amtrak trains in Acela Carriage or Business Class, including the Auto Train, which makes traveling the East Coast easy. The sale excludes Capital Corridor, Keystone, Pacific Surfliner, Pennsylvanian and San Joaquins trains.

2. New York - Washington by intercity bus from $25 each way.
3. Baltimore to New York with Acela Business fare for $54 each way.
4. Boston to New York with Acela Business fare for $48 each way.
5. New York - Washington with Acela Business fare for $41 each way.
