Former New York State Governor George Pataki donated assistance from the George E. Pataki Leadership Center and the Ukraine Relief Fund during a visit to Transcarpathia. Special modular houses were delivered from America, which can provide temporary accommodation for people in any conditions. This was reported in Facebook Viktor Mikita, head of the Transcarpathian OVA.
These houses are mounted in a matter of minutes, quickly and easily transported, have everything necessary for the settlement of families for a certain period. According to Pataki, such structures in the United States are used to accommodate people after natural disasters.

“Igor Zhovkva, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office, and I proposed to our American colleagues to consider the possibility of supplying and compactly arranging camps from modular houses in the regions that have been liberated by the Ukrainian Armed Forces from the occupier. Where people were left homeless due to the bombing. This will allow the victims to temporarily live on their own plots, restore and repair their damaged housing,” Mikita said.
George Pataki agreed with the proposals. Immediately after the visit, contact managers and experts will start working on a request in this regard. Also, the former governor of the state of New York suggested creating a common fund in Transcarpathia, which could accumulate charitable contributions from the United States for the development of places where IDPs live compactly.
