Central Park Boathouse reopened for boat rides and delicious food

One of New York's most famous summer fun spots is back! After temporary closure in 2022 Central Park Boathouse resumed his work. This place combines great food, walks on the water and relaxation in the park. Forbes.
Legends, a team of hospitality and catering professionals that have established culinary companies in New York City landmarks such as Yankee Stadium and the One World Observatory, have leased the Central Park Boathouse and created a brand new restaurant. Chef Dave Pasternak (former chef of the Esca restaurant in New York) has developed a new menu. It has vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options for the most sophisticated and demanding restaurant food connoisseurs.
Menu
Breakfast options include pastries ($4-$5) and sandwiches such as the Ham, Egg and Cheese Sandwich on a Kaiser Bun ($9).
For lunch you can choose:
- crispy hot dog ($6) with Schaller & Weber sausage, braised onion and mustard on a cut bun;
- fish sandwich ($15) with crispy Atlantic cod and tartar sauce on a creamy potato bun;
- lobster roll with chips ($25) - lobsters, lettuce, lemon aioli and herbs on a creamy sliced bun;
- grilled vegetable toast ($12) - seasonal vegetables, pesto and herbal goat cheese on ciabatta;
- the famous Boathouse hamburger ($13) with secret sauce, lettuce, tomato, onion and cheddar cheese on a potato bun.
The $8 kids' menu includes a cheeseburger, hot dog, or grilled cheese, served with a bag of juice and fruit.

The menu also includes a variety of salads and side dishes, such as chicken salad, chilled watermelon, french fries with homemade mayonnaise, and frozen custard.
The cafe offers both hot and cold drinks. You can order traditional coffee and signature cold brew, fresh lemonade, juice or soda. The menu also includes craft beer, hard selzer, a variety of wines and signature cocktails. In addition, the restaurant serves beer from local brewers: Five Boroughs Brewing Company and Montauk Brewing Company.
The cafe is located on the north side of the Boathouse. All orders are packed "to go" so that you can enjoy them on the restaurant's outdoor terrace or strolling through Central Park.
The Boathouse Cafe in Central Park is open 7 days a week from 8:00 am to 17:00 pm. Another waterside dining room, restaurant, bar and catering will be available at the Boathouse in early autumn.

Work up an appetite before eating
The Central Park Boathouse once again offers boat rentals on the lake in Central Park. This 150 year old tradition dating back to 1860 is one of the best ways to enjoy the surrounding scenery.
The new colorful Legends boats are available for rent for $25 an hour. Soon they can be reserved online through OpenTable. If you come without prior booking, then the boats are issued on a “first-come, first-served” basis.
No food or drink is allowed on the boats. Children must wear life jackets and be supervised by an adult (at least 18 years of age).
