Iconic department store Century 21 has finally officially announced the opening date of its New York store. The flagship store at 22 Cortlandt Street will open in two weeks, on May 16, according to a company spokesperson. Crains.

It is already known that the revived store will be slightly smaller than the original - only four of the six original floors will open.
The Century 21 store at 22 Cortlandt Street was originally scheduled to open on April 25th. But then he not opened, the guests who came to the address just kissed the castle. The company did not comment on the confusion.
In 2020, the Gindi family, who own Century 21 through ASG Equities, closed 13 of the chain's stores in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Florida due to the COVID-19 pandemic. ASG blamed the closures on insurance companies that refused to cover $175 million in damages due to forced closures caused by the lockdown.
The department store at 22 Cortlandt Street was one of the closed ones. In May 2022, the company announced that it would revive the Financial District location and the brand is expected to partner with Legends Hospitality.
