According to them, the average price for a one-bedroom apartment in New York is $ 3180, and for a two-bedroom apartment - $ 3480.
According to new data from Zumper's National Rent Index, the rise in rents in 2021 was sharp. Over 11 months, the average rent for one bedroom increased to 12,1%. Meanwhile, prices for apartment two-bedroom apartments rose 13,2%.
Together, 2019 and 2020 show less rental growth than this year. From June to September, the increase in rents ranged from 1,6% to 2,2%. But compared to November, it slowed down a little: 0,5% for one-room apartments and 0,4% for two-room apartments.
As a rule, rent tendencies change seasonally: in summer and spring it rises, in autumn and winter it decreases. Throughout the pandemic, the seasonal pattern has been disrupted, but Zumper's November data may have indicated that the seasonal pattern is returning. As a result, rental growth will continue to slow down.
