Currently, the page contains photos and addresses of the location of a gorgeous vintage chair, large TV, children's play set, CD collection, drum, printer, folding chairs, wicker storage box, small table and a huge number of other wonderful things.

The account is run by a couple from Brooklyn, but did not want to name their names. The partners said the number of photos they received increased dramatically during the quarantine period.

“We get hundreds a day. People say, "Why haven't you posted my photo yet?" They probably think there is a whole company behind it. But in fact, these are only two people, moreover, working full time. We try to answer every person who wrote to us, ”explained one of the account organizers.

The couple created the @StoopingNYC account about a year and a half ago while admiring the amazing sidewalk finds they stumbled across while walking around town with their young son. Much has changed since then. At the beginning of the pandemic, they did not walk due to quarantine, so there were no photos for posting. When they started going to work again in the summer, they saw even more things on the sidewalks - people leaving the city in droves left them. In addition, the townspeople who were bored in quarantine often began to send them photographs of their findings.

The organizers of the page say that they themselves took the find, the photo and the address of which were sent to them, only once, otherwise they do not hunt for things that they post in their account. And this is not so easy to do - now they are taken from the sidewalks very quickly.

According to the couple, they are more interested in helping to make the hunt for these things more widespread than the things themselves.
