New York City is full of picturesque waterfalls scattered throughout the state. Some of them are quite popular with travelers, while others are hidden from prying eyes. The edition writes about one of such places. Only In Your State.
The picturesque waterfall is hidden in the area of the Finger Lakes. Until now, few people guessed about its existence, although it is in no way inferior to the popular waterfalls of New York.
This piece of paradise is located in Cayuga County, off the shores of one of the state's most pristine lakes.
To visit it, head to the Bahar Nature Reserve. Then walk up to two kilometers towards Skaneateles Lake, where you will find a popular kayaking and canoeing destination.
But if you first head to the other side of the reserve, you can enjoy a short walk along winding forest paths, the beauty around and clean air. This walk will take about 15 minutes.
Passing through the shady forests of the Finger Lakes, you will reach this miracle of nature - the 30-meter Carpenter Falls. He is hiding in the Bear Swamp Creek Ravine.
