Two Russian speakers included in the list of 40 outstanding young personalities in New York

Over ten years City & State draws attention to the rising stars of the city and state of New York. The publication compiles lists of 40 outstanding people under the age of 40. But the stars are getting younger, so City & State NY decided to celebrate the achievements of an even younger cohort this year. And in its ranks there were two Russian-speaking immigrants.
In addition to the traditional list of 40 under 40, New York has the first list of 10 influential young people in their twenties.
Dennis Futoryan
CEO and Founder of “The 25th Hour”
When the coronavirus pandemic broke out, Dennis Futoryan had just resigned from his position as a lawyer at the New York City Children's Administration. Instead of panic, Futoryan seized the opportunity to pursue his dream: to create his own podcast. In August 2020, he launched the 25th Hour. This is a quick overview of the latest news and policy for the busy listener. Futoryan, 28, brings a lot of institutional knowledge to the podcast.
His work reflects the upbringing he received in a family of Russian-speaking Jews who fled Ukraine for America in 1992. One of his nominees writes: "Dennis' podcast is an underrated gem in a sea of political broadcasting flooded with over-hyped sensational views these days."

Anna Miroff
Senior Communications Manager, Revel
Anna Miroff has been a key public relations officer at Revel for the past two years. It is a growing startup in the field of electric mopeds in Brooklyn, known for its black and blue mopeds that ply the city.
Miroff, 28, spent four years as a media strategist at Stu Loeser & Co., where she specialized in transportation, education and gambling.
“Her work product and work ethic is consistently high quality,” writes one colleague, “but she stands out mainly (because) she is never shy about speaking her mind, but can also remain open-minded and process others' suggestions.”
