“We draw your attention: when purchasing air tickets, it is imperative to provide consent to conduct observation or self-isolation using the“ Act at home ”electronic service,” the embassy said in a statement.
The “Act at Home” application was introduced by the Ukrainian government in late April. It is offered as an alternative to a two-week observation.

The press service of the Ukrainian Embassy in the United States explained: the application was developed specifically for the convenience of citizens who did not want to spend another two weeks in sanatoriums or hotels after returning from abroad. Having an application on their phone, they can self-isolate and go through quarantine at home - in a convenient environment.
“Act at home” stipulates that the user must register himself and the place of self-isolation. Each time the application receives a corresponding push message, the user must send a photo confirmation within 15 minutes that he is observing the self-isolation mode and is in the previously registered location. The application system will use a photo to recognize the identity and geolocation of the sent message. Thus, representatives of the National Police, National Guard and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine will control the progress of self-isolation. If the photo was not sent, this is the basis for a check by law enforcement agencies.
However, users complain about the malfunctioning of the program, and human rights activists accuse it of violating the rights of Ukrainians.
