New York City's Pizza Festival: Treats from 35 of the World's Best Pizzaiolos

After hiatus due to COVID-19 New York Pizza Festival will be back this summer with pizzas made by 35 of the best pizzaiolos in the world. Writes about it Time-out.

Previous festivals have been held on Arthur Avenue (Bronx's Little Italy), but this year the event will move to Piazza in Hunter's Point Park (52-03 Center Blvd) in Long Island City, Queens.

The Food Festival, which debuted back in 2018, will run for 10 weeks from Saturday, June 10th to Sunday, August 20th. Past festivals have featured local favorites, including Best Pizza and Di Fara (who regularly top the list of New York's best pizzas).

Along with the classic New York-style pizza and the original Napoletana recipe, attendees will be able to explore different styles of pizza making that are popular in different regions. In particular, Chicago and Sicilian style, thin and crispy Roman pizzas, and even the divisive Hawaiian recipe with pineapple and ham. The full list of pizzerias participating in the festival has not yet been published.

In addition to the feast of carbohydrates and cheese The New York Pizza Festival will offer pizza cooking classes, live music and much more. Opening hours on weekdays - from 16:00 to 22:00; on weekends - from 13:00 to 22:00. Admission is free, but food and drink are ticketed.
