Loud sex of neighbors disturbs the peace of New Yorkers: they call 311 en masse

Sex and the City's hottest scenes aren't shown on HBO — they're reported through the city's 311 system. New Yorkers filed more than 270 "loud sex" complaints over the past year to a non-emergency hotline. There were reports of everything from backyard orgies, sounds of "loud ruthless sex" to "sexy tyrannosaurus," as one of the complainers put it. Writes about it New York Post.

"Listen, I'm a Christian, help this girl stop loud sex before God does," one desperate Bronx woman said in a 6:XNUMX a.m. complaint filed in January of this year.

Complaints come from all five boroughs

Calls and online complaints between February 19, 2021 and February 9, 2022 came from all five pine forests. All the complaining people described various types of carnal pleasures taking place in neighboring apartments, on the stairs of their building, and even right outside the window.

“The orgy is happening in the backyard, boobs and penis are visible right from the street,” a Queens resident complained at one in the morning in June.

“An obese gay man splashed his male syrup on Hispanic cheeks,” a Brooklyn resident complained around midnight in August.

One Bronx local said his neighbors had "loud and merciless sex" in the middle of the day. A Manhattan resident complained about the "sex party" in the neighborhood.

New Yorkers say their neighbors take the phrase "the city that never sleeps" too literally.

“In this apartment, there is always a loud moaning woman having sex. It's hard for a lonely neighbor to get a good night's sleep," wrote an outraged Queens resident at almost 4am.

One Brooklyn resident told 311 that carnal pleasures behind the wall kept him up all night and he lost his job because he overslept. Another Brooklynian said he couldn't get into his apartment because of 8-9 people having an orgy on the stairs.

One person in Queens said his neighbor was "screaming loudly, calling himself a sexy tyrannosaurus rex."

Most of the complaints were considered unfounded

The police investigated all the complaints and it turned out that the vast majority of them were "unfounded" or not criminal. Seventeen were recorded as "insufficient to be entered into the system," two as "ended before the arrival of the police," three were transferred to other services, but the records of the 311 service do not say which ones. Three more were labeled "other" without further details.

One address in Broad Channel (Queens) received more than 50 complaints in the last year. But the homeowner insists that his family is being pranked and harassed. A series of online complaints filed by an anonymous person alleges that the location hosts massive sex parties, with "marijuana" and "group sex". The records show that all complaints about this house were marked by service officials as "unfounded or necessary."
