Luxury vacation idea: you can rent an entire village with a castle in Italy

Are you planning a group trip to Italy in 2023? Vacation rental company called Group Accommodation offers one of the most unconventional and extraordinary proposals. An entire medieval village in central Italy, three hours northeast of Rome, is renting out for £1303 ($1577) a night, reports Travel and Leisure.

Petritoli is a picturesque village in the Italian region of Le Marche, surrounded by idyllic hills. The historic village has multi-level stone houses, towers, narrow cobbled streets, a baroque theatre, Roman cellars. As well as a stunning castle with 37 bedrooms, nine kitchens, a restaurant and 19 bathrooms. Lush gardens and two outdoor swimming pools with solariums offer panoramic views of the entire area. Inside the castle there are antique furniture, fireplaces, frescoed ceilings. Antique art fills the rooms and common areas.

Other accommodation options are found throughout the village. From boutique B&Bs and apartments to quaint houses.

Renting Petritoli also gives you access to over 15 cultural and entertainment options. His little theatre, the Chocolate Box, is upholstered in rich red velvet and adorned with beautiful Roman columns and seating boxes. Other spaces ideal for meetings and dinners include a 17th-century cloister, an 18th-century vaulted printing house, several squares and parks, a wine tasting cellar with tapestries, and the beautiful town hall gardens. According to the announcement, a professional team is ready to cater for special events and three meals a day for 250 people.

Most of the village is closed to vehicular traffic. Coffee shops, grocery stores, ice cream parlors and pizzerias lined the streets. The Adriatic coast is only 12 miles from Petritoli. So you can take advantage of the nearby fabulous beaches and explore other picturesque small towns.

The village can accommodate from 50 to 200 people. And in the castle - about 90 people. And you have to rent it for three nights. It is ideal for a wedding weekend or a large family reunion.
