A native of Israel, Leahy Aaron, went down to the Tribeca metro station, Manhattan, after the ceremony of appointing her to a new position. She boarded train number two and immediately noticed a woman who laid out her belongings, taking several places at once in a busy train. The Jew looked scared, but did not answer. Leahy took out her phone to take pictures of what was happening, and the woman drew attention to her. The situation quickly escalated, an aggressive woman got up, pulled the phone out of Liha’s hands, began to grab her hands and beat her in the face.

Leahy fought back and knocked a woman down to resist physical beating. The fight continued until the train stopped and both women were outside of it. People began to say to Leah: “You are bleeding, you are bleeding,” but Leah focused only on surviving the attack with dignity and finding a way to seek help.

No one tried to help

At the same time, as the source notes, none of those around tried to intervene and do at least something. Dozens of people just stood and watched what was happening, as if they were the audience of a television show.

Leahy quickly pressed the emergency button. The cops arrived at the scene almost immediately. The aggressive woman was arrested, but while the police testified, she continued to shout insults and curses.

This was not just another anti-Semitic attack. This time something different happened - Leahy resisted, she refused to just sit down and lower her head, succumbing to the attacker.

“She went to my Facebook page and asked me to help her share this incident with the whole world on my platforms. At first I thought I was just going to report the attack she mentioned, but when I called her I quickly realized that it was about much more, ”the source said.
