Raped and then escorted home: NYPD is looking for a strange criminal

The police are looking for a man who was waiting for his victim at her home. Threatening with a knife, he dragged the woman into a Bronx park, where he raped her in broad daylight. This happened on Tuesday, May 31st. NBC New York.

The NYPD continues to investigate the attack. The detectives were seen in St. Mary's Park on Wednesday, June 1, at the moment they are looking for leads, as well as witnesses. Neighbors in the Mott Haven section of the Bronx were stunned when they learned the woman had been raped and robbed in the park around 8:30 a.m. this morning.

The victim said that now she is too scared to go back to her house. She and her family want to move as soon as possible. In a telephone interview, the victim admitted that she was traumatized by the attack, as was her eldest son, who saw the attacker.

The 38-year-old woman said she was on her way to her house after taking her son to elementary school. It was then that surveillance video showed a man kneeling in front of the entrance to a house located near a park.

She was about to enter her apartment when a man in a red hoodie, lurking by the stairs, attacked her. His face was covered, but there was no knife in his hand.

The victim said that the man wanted to enter her house. She refused to let him in because her 17-year-old son was inside. It was then that the suspect pulled out a knife and demanded that the victim follow him to the park, where he raped her.

Police said the suspect took the woman's phone and wallet with a debit card. The victim said that he demanded her card's PIN. Then the man did something that surprised her: walked her home as if nothing had happened.
