The carrier's last major promotion was in November 2021, when it offered a promo code for $100 off round trip flights as part of its Cyber ​​Monday sale.

After the announcement of the merger, one of the biggest questions is how it will affect tariffs. Henry Harteveldt, travel analyst and president of Atmosphere Research Group, said he believes Frontier, while remaining an autonomous giant, will put pressure on JetBlue to keep fares low.

“JetBlue can adapt certain pricing strategies that Spirit has been successful with and apply those discount strategies to JetBlue flights,” he said.

Harteveldt also said he is watching JetBlue partner with discount club Spirit, which gives customers access to cheaper fares and other perks. According to Harteveldt, the program is a success.

“If the program works well for Spirit, then it can work well for JetBlue,” he said.
