What books did New Yorkers read in 2023: top from the city library

The books we read tell you a lot about what was on the minds of New Yorkers this year. New York City Public Libraries have published the 10 most popular books of 2023, and they report Time Out, dayThere are a few trends on this list that are worth noting.

In all the boroughs of the city, New Yorkers were interested in the lives of celebrities and public figures. Prince Harry's book "The Spare One" and Jennette McCurdy's book "I'm Glad My Mum Died" were among the top ten best-selling books this year.

Novels by Emily Henry, Colleen Hoover, and Bonnie Garmus also attracted interest from readers. But “Tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow” by Gabrielle Zevin took second or third place in popularity.

Some books have been included in the NYPL and WNYC virtual book club “Get Lit!”, such as “Yellow Face” by R. F. Kuang and “Heaven and Earth Grocery Store” by James McBride.
