Kazakhstanis won the largest hackathon in New York

A major international blockchain hackathon ETHglobal was held in New York. Among crypto enthusiasts and app developers, it is considered a big event. Dixi News.
This year, a total of $500 in prize money was raffled off at the hackathon. The amount was divided between the disciplines and blockchain networks in which the participants competed.
The New York hackathon has become the largest in recent times. It brought together 1500 participants from 56 countries. A total of 251 projects were submitted.
The music NFT player project from the Ozen team took first place. It was developed on the SKALE blockchain. The leader of this project is Aizatulla Hussein from Kazakhstan.

Now the winners of the hackathon are planning to launch a Web 3.0 player. In it, artists will be able to earn directly, without the participation of the giants of show business.
“We have been nurturing the idea of a Web 3.0 player for a long time. At some point, we decided to take it seriously and go to Consensus 2022 in Austin, Texas. This is one of the largest blockchain festivals in the world, which has gathered more than 20 people. The purpose of the trip was to get acquainted with the crypto community and expand our ties. But then we found out that a big hackathon was taking place in New York. Long thought and decided to try their hand. In 000 hours, we achieved MVP and took first place. Thanks to the hackathon, we realized that we were moving in the right direction. So we will continue to work,” Aizatulla said.
Initially, the õzen team began distributing music from Kazakhstani artists through Apple Music, Spotify and Yandex.Music. They were able to conclude an agreement with the French aggregator Believe, which directly uploads artists' songs to major platforms. All artists who collaborate with õzen enter into contracts and receive a percentage of the sales of their recordings.
