Bloody holiday: 26 people were victims of shootings in New York over the weekend

The Independence Day of the United States in New York turned out to be bloody. On July 4, 12 cases of shooting from firearms were recorded throughout the city, at least 13 people were injured, two of them died. Over the entire holiday weekend in New York, 26 people were shot, writes Pix 11.
In addition to 12 shootings on Sunday (July 4), four more shootings occurred on Saturday and five on Friday.
A total of 00 people were injured between Friday 00:00 and Monday 00:26, according to NYPD figures.
The 19-year-old is in critical condition after being wounded in the chest on a Harlem street late Sunday evening, authorities said. The victim's boyfriend told the police that an unknown man dressed in black approached them, opened fire and fled the scene. The police said that the shooting was not random and the couple was the target of the shooter, but it is not yet clear if he wanted to kill the girl or her boyfriend.
On July 4, two people were killed in the Bronx in various incidents.
Rickona Kirby, 33, was found with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and head outside the Castle Hill Houses on Lacombe Avenue around 22:00 pm. He was taken to the hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.

At about 4:10 am on July 4, two men were injured on East 172nd Street near Crotona Park East. Police said a 27-year-old man was shot in the buttocks and a 22-year-old man named Mamadou Bach received multiple wounds in the torso and arm.
Both victims were taken to hospital, where Bach was pronounced dead. The condition of the 27-year-old victim was stable.
At the time of writing, suspects in the shooting in Harlem and the Bronx are still wanted.
In other cases of shooting, there were no deaths or critical injuries.
