Critics of Donald Trump raise money to buy and destroy the house in which the US president spent his childhood. Supporters of the head of state, on the contrary, want to donate this building to charity, the newspaper writes. New York Post.
The house in which United States President Donald Trump spent the first four years of his life was planned to be sold at auction on November 14 for $ 2,9 million.
But since those who wanted to buy this house did not have enough money, the auction was postponed indefinitely.
According to Misha Hagani of the real estate company Paramount Realty USA, potential buyers, including Trump critics, have time to accumulate funds through crowdsourcing sites.
“We have postponed the auction to give the campaigns a chance to raise money,” Khagani said.
A house with a total area of more than 600 square meters with five bedrooms, in which the President of America spent his childhood, built in the architectural style of Tudor.
The last time it was sold to a Chinese investor in 2017 year for $ 2,14 million.
Prior to that, in 2016, he was trading for $ 1,4 million.

Hagani was engaged in both sales.
At the same time, real estate appraisers note that the average cost of housing in the neighborhood is slightly less than $ 1 million.
Buy and destroy
In September 2019, Los Angeles resident David Yates attempted to raise $ 5 millions through GoFundMe's crowdfunding platform to buy this house, which he was planning to destroy.
“I want to buy it and blow it up,” Yates wrote on his GoFundMe page.
He added that he would hire a “professional crew to capture the event.”
The reason Yates wanted to destroy Trump’s childhood home was the fear that some of the president’s fans “might buy this building and create a museum or temple in it.”
To date, the page published on September 22 has raised $ 0.
Donate to charity
However, Hagani said that he had heard about positive stories. So, some people raise money to buy this house and donate it to charity.
“People talked about creating a museum, donating to immigrants or veterans, creating a presidential library and other things,” Khagani said. "I would really like to see something positive happen to this unique property, for example, to be donated to the 9/11 rescuers, or to see President Trump buy it himself."
The house was built by President Fred, who then moved the family to a larger house behind it. Both are far from the gilded Trump Tower penthouse, which the president called his main residence until his recent move to Florida.
