Large-scale reconstruction of Terminal C of La Guardia Airport completed: what it looks like now

With a $4 billion renovation, LaGuardia will get a new transportation hub and exhibit art curated by the Queens Museum, reports ABC New York.
“Transforming LaGuardia Airport into a world-class destination is an integral part of our vision for New York's new era,” Governor Katie Hokul said. “The opening of Delta Terminal C will help provide passengers with the most modern conveniences and facilitate connections. Congratulations to everyone as we complete a brand new LaGuardia Airport worthy of New York.”
On Wednesday, June 1, the authorities presented a new terminal that will serve Delta Airlines flights.
The new modern terminal C of 120 square meters will be 000% larger than the two terminals it replaces. This will combine access to 85 gates through a single arrivals and departures hall. Tall floor-to-ceiling windows provide natural light during the day.
Terminal C is designed for optimal efficiency, allowing travelers to quickly move to their gates. In addition, they use the latest technology, such as hands-free baggage transfer and the ability to check digital IDs.
There are 36 full-service check-in counters, 49 self-service kiosks and 16 baggage claim locations in the departure hall.

The security zone includes 11 screening lanes. However, there are plans to add five additional lanes in the future. They will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology to speed up screening. Upon arrival, passengers will be able to collect their baggage from one of the five baggage carousels.
The new terminal has 13 toilets with touchless entry, sinks and hand dryers.
Passengers will find local favorites in partnership with OTG such as Bubby's, Sunday Supper Trattoria, Chuko Ramen Poppy's Bagel and Starbucks. And Stellar partners will provide specialty retail stores: Buzzfeed News, Beekman 1802, MAC, Le Labo and Briggs & Riley.
Terminal C will be home to the newest and largest in the Delta Sky Club system, providing over 3158 square meters of entertainment for 600 guests.
Terminal C will open to users on Saturday, June 4th.
