A young Brooklyn man was killed for asking a stranger for a cigarette

A 24-year-old man paid with his life for failing to ask a group of young people for a cigarette on a New York street. The murder took place in the Hell's Kitchen area late on the evening of December 6, writes New York Post.
The deceased was identified as Carlos Rosario, a resident of Brooklyn. Around 23:00 p.m. on December 6, he was walking with his girlfriend down West 42nd Street near Ninth Avenue. At the garage, a man noticed a company of three guys and asked for a cigarette.
This request led to a verbal altercation and a fight. In the heat of the scuffle, one of the three men stabbed Rosario in the chest.
The victim was rushed to Bellevue Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.
The police did not report on the condition of the girl of the deceased. So far, no one has been arrested in this case.
