Moskvich shared his impressions of New York: dirty, noisy, crowded

Vadim from Moscow has long dreamed of visiting the largest city in the United States. And when I finally got there, I was very disappointed. He told the publication about what he didn’t like. Yandex Zen.

After spending a whole week in New York, Vadim visited various parts of it. He was both in Manhattan and in other areas of the city - Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx. In the latter, by the way, the guy liked it. According to the Muscovite, these districts left a "pleasant impression of comfortable cities for life." But the main area of ​​the city, according to him, left an extremely negative impression.

So, the Muscovite did not like the fact that there is a lot of garbage on the streets and in the subway, the buildings are too dense and there are a lot of people everywhere, and also rats!

“It's no secret that Moscow has very clean streets, especially in the center. In terms of the number of janitors constantly sweeping something per square meter, this city is ahead of not only other settlements in Russia, but also most of the world's megalopolises, ”said Vadim.

In New York, he said, everything is completely different.

“It is customary to put garbage here right on the side of the road, in bags. From there, the utilities take him away, ”he said.

It is these bags, he added, that "severely spoil the appearance of the streets of Manhattan, not to mention the smell." “At the same time, they often break and leak, which further strengthens the association with the trash heap,” he complained.

But the guy - rats was especially impressed. According to the Muscovite, their number in New York is so huge that he was surprised at how people can live here.

When a Muscovite went down the subway, he was also unpleasantly surprised.

“There is sometimes even more dirt there than on the surface. Not to mention the fact that the metro in the city is very old, and the stations often do not have any design at all, ”he noted. "Compared to the beautiful Moscow metro, it is completely dark."

Since Manhattan is an island, land is scarce. Therefore, they are building something on any empty scrap. Sometimes in a small area tall skyscrapers grow that look unnaturally thin.

The Muscovite also noted that the appearance of New York has deteriorated significantly compared to the photographs he had seen before. To date, there is simply no room left between the buildings - they stretch like a single wall until the next intersection. So a claustrophobic person may feel bad about it.

Constant rush and crowds

But most of all during his stay in New York, Vadim did not like people, or rather their number. Before coming here, he thought that in Moscow they were rude and always in a hurry. However, in New York, he said, the situation is even worse. On the other hand, this is understandable: to survive in such a place without constant rush would be simply unrealistic.

If we add to this also crowds of tourists, then walking along the streets of the city was almost impossible for a Muscovite. When he got to the street, he felt like in a market: there were lines everywhere and there was no way to see the sights.

At the same time, Vadim liked something in New York. According to him, this city really has such an energy that can not be found anywhere in the world. And the above disadvantages, according to the Muscovite, do not cross out.
