More: Part visual splendor, part olfactory marvel and sticky sensory happiness, the Sloomoo Institute slime museum reopened on September 24 after a renovation. Sloomoo originally opened in 2019. It was supposed to be only available for 6 months, but the museum became so popular that it remained open for two years. After a short closure and reconstruction, it is again waiting for its visitors, but now in a completely new form.

You can crush 25 different types of slime, see a slime waterfall, shoot slime with a slingshot and even create your own slime in a special laboratory.

What: Bar with arcade games Gamehaus

More: Gamehaus is a multifunctional space with a dozen widescreen TVs, classic arcade video games and plenty of beer.

You'll find plenty of classic arcade games here, including Atari Pong, Ms. Pacman, Jurassic Park, Pop-a-Shot and Skee Ball. In this regard, the chef has created a bar menu inspired by old games. For example, while playing Pac Man, you can enjoy the Super Mushroom burger. Wash it all down with one of over 20 draft beers, mostly sourced from local microbreweries Sixpoint, Keg & Lantern and Fifth Hammer Brewing, among others.

More: "4 Scenes" is a performance and life at the same time. These are four different but interrelated situations that occur on the way of the character to the knowledge of his personality.

This is a very personal story inspired by the life experience of choreographer Olya Rabetskaya. The performance consists of 4 different parts, each of which has its own theme and energy. The first part tells about the system that presses and punishes for any initiative. The second part shows what happens if you choose to disobey and allow yourself to be who you are. The third part immerses you in the silence that comes after an emotional explosion. The last one tells the story of a partnership, two "whales" swimming next to each other. They are as good together as they are apart. They need each other, but are not afraid of loneliness.

The modern dance performance "4 Scenes" is a choreographic production by Olga Rabetskaya with live musical accompaniment by violinist Maria Vasilevskaya.

What: Meeting with David Guy

More: On October 15, the Kings Bay Library will host a meeting with David Gai, a well-known writer and journalist, editor-in-chief of the international literary magazine TIMES, author of more than 30 fiction and non-fiction books.

David Gai's essay-memoir “I'm Dissatisfied with Myself…” and the new novel “Packed Moon” will be presented at the meeting.

The novel opens with an old immigrant writer dying in New York. Three suitcases of his archive remain. By the will of circumstances, the archive ends up with his grandson, a Harvard graduate who speaks and reads Russian fluently. Parsing papers and photographs, the grandson, as it were, tries on the life of his grandfather. Before him appears a bright human destiny - with losses, gains, suffering, love, betrayal. He will have to unravel the secrets, mysteries, look into the innermost corners of his grandfather's soul... Organically, the war in Ukraine fits into the outline of the narrative, conducted on behalf of his grandson: he is involved in the events caused by Russia's aggression, participates in the rescue of a Kiev woman - the granddaughter of a close friend of his grandfather. All this gives the novel an acute relevance. And then comes the unexpected twist...
