12 huge backlit swings installed on Broadway

A giant luminous swing was installed on Broadway on January 6. They will only be here for three weeks. This publication writes Events.

12 gigantic backlit swings were installed on a square in the Garment area between 37th and 38th Broadway Streets on Monday, January 6th. The interactive art installation is called Impulse. It was designed by Lateral Office and CS Design.

The block where the swing was installed is completely closed to traffic by the New York City Department of Transportation. So here you can completely relax and enjoy the time spent as a child. The installation is the latest addition to the Garment District Art on the Plazas, a year-round community art program; the latter is part of the New York City Department of Transportation arts program and the Public Space Unit's Seasonal Streets program.

It is worth noting that the first such attraction was presented in 2015 at the Luminothérapie festival in Montreal.
