On October 21, an observation deck finally opened at the top of the One Vanderbilt skyscraper. The three-story Summit entertainment center atop a skyscraper has already been named "the world's most breathtaking observatory," writes Voice of America.
The platform offers a breathtaking view of the city from a height of over 300 meters. In just 42 seconds, the high-speed elevator takes you to the three-story Summit, which translates to “the top”.
Also there, visitors will see the immersive installation Air, which changes the perception of space. Reflective mirror balls create the feeling of floating in the air: during the day - in the clouds, at night - among the stars in space.
Summit was created by Kenzo Digital immersive design studio and renowned Norwegian architecture company Snohetta. And the observation deck "Levitation" is an excellent entertainment for thrill-seekers.
Price tickets for adults starts at $ 39 for a daytime visit; if you want to watch the sunset, you will need to pay an extra $ 10.
At night, the cheapest ticket costs $ 49.
Visitors are asked to wear sunglasses during the daytime - light can refract in the glass and cause sore eyes, as well as comfortable shoes and pants or shorts (so as not to feel uncomfortable with the glass floor and people underneath).
