Spencer Brown, NFL's Buffalo Bills forward, was on the plane and tweeted about the incident.
“I am on the plane. Lady in a frenzy. Pulls the emergency exit ring and lowers the inflatable slide to leave the plane. The lady is currently running on the asphalt on the runway. The cops have arrived. Flight ruined. But there are memories. Noisy,” he said in his post.
The pilot was forced to return the plane to the gate after the incident.
McKnight's daring escape comes amid a rise in violent passengers, with many of the clashes involving the requirement to wear masks. The cause of this conflict has not yet been made public.
