World's Largest Sake Festival to Be Held in New York

This year, the world's largest sake festival will bring 587 varieties of the classic Japanese drink to New York City. Time-out tells in more detail.
The Joy of Sake — a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the ancient craft of sake brewing. The organization hosted the world's largest sake tasting outside of Japan.
On April 10, The Joy of Sake will return to New York with a record number of rice wines – 587 varieties! Each variety sake was blind tasted and judged as part of the U.S. National Sake Evaluation, the oldest evaluation conducted outside of Japan.

Joy of Sake will be held on April 10 from 18:30 PM to 21:30 PM. The price of one ticket is $130. It includes unlimited sake tastings and treats. You can buy tickets here.
Among nearly 600 competition-grade sakes, including silver and gold winners, will be bottled 350 varieties of rice wine not found in the U.S., including premium daiginjo, ginjo and junmai.
Along with international beers, there will also be a number of local brews on offer, including Brooklyn Kura and Dassai Blue.
Good food is also a part fun. 16 of New York's top restaurants will create sake-themed appetizers.
