Keanu Reeves will star in the new Broadway musical Waiting For Godot. But theatergoers and fans of the actor will have to wait until autumn, reports Secret nyc.
George Clooney's Good Night, And Good Luck was eclipsed at the box office this spring by Othello, starring Denzel Washington and Jake Gyllenhaal. Nick Jonas breaks hearts in The Last Five Years. Now the beloved Matrix star (and internet darling) is heading to stage in the 1953 play by Samuel Beckett.
It seems like everyone is an amateur Broadway will be delighted! Reeves is set to star alongside Alex Winter in the tragicomedy about Vladimir and Estragon, two friends who await the arrival of the main character, Gadot, but to no avail. It is a retelling of the play by Irish writer En attendant Godot, which was originally written in French.

The duo first graced the screen in the 1980s with Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, and the strong bond between them will continue in their next endeavor, according to director Jamie Lloyd.
"I was struck by how intimately they knew each other," Lloyd told People magazine. "You could really feel it in rehearsals. They were playing like clockwork and just instantly getting it."
The musical will run at the Hudson Theatre, 141 W. 44th Street, from September 28 to January 4.
Ticket information will be available later.
