Bronx Man Filmed Eating Rat: Video Shocks New Yorkers

In the Bronx in early March, a man was caught on video eating a rat while sitting on the sidewalk near 149th Street and 3rd Avenue. Silive tells in more detail.
Witnesses told of this terrible scene.
"This is fucking incredible! Just look at this," a woman can be heard saying off-camera. "No, I have to get out of the Bronx."
An unknown man carefully cut up the entrails animal removing and discarding some pieces before placing them in the rat's mouth.
"He fucking ate her," said another female witness.

A few moments later the man brings the carcass up rats to his mouth and takes a bite, after which the video ends.
Social media users were divided. Some believed that the man was most likely homeless and hungry. Others suggested that the man probably suffered from some form of mental illness. Still others criticized the person who filmed the scene.
Users said that instead of filming, they should have bought the man something to eat.
