New York City Subway Passengers Give Birth Right on Train

On February 12, New York City subway passengers helped a 25-year-old pregnant woman give birth to a baby girl on a southbound W train, reports NYPost.
The little bundle of joy was born at around 11:35 a.m. a train stood at the 34th Street-Herald Square station.
Passengers told the train operator that the woman had given birth. The train was delayed for stations, while the police were heading towards the carriage.

The footage shows several passengers helping the woman while one person holds the child.
"Only in NYC could this happen! I just watched a woman give birth on a train. Then a stranger cut the cord," an eyewitness wrote on Instagram. "Welcome to the world, baby girl! Her name is Herald MTA Square."
The baby and her mother were conscious when medics took them to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue.
The MTA gave the baby a different name – Baby W.
