Intrepid Museum Kicks Off Kids Week With NASA Entertainment, Animal Shows

В Intrepid Museum Children's Week is February 15–22. Children of all ages can explore the world of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math), see NASA exhibits, and attend an animal show.

Dance schools, Madame Tussauds, LEGOLAND, theatres, zoos and other organisations will hold their exciting master classes and interactive lectures.
What entertainment does the museum offer?
During Children's Week at the Intrepid Museum, you'll be immersed in a space adventure with NASA exhibits!
Meet National Aeronautics and Space Administration scientists and engineers, explore interactive exhibits, and enjoy hands-on activities perfect for kids.
Learn how a vacuum forming machine works. Design your own 3D FCMA x Intrepid, a space souvenir using play dough and other materials.

World record holder balloon artist John Reed will be making an epic balloon sculpture big enough for photo ops! Every guest will be able to come to a balloon twisting workshop and learn how to make their own space-themed balloon sculpture!
In addition, the museum will allow visitors to take a selfie with Darth Vader, learn lightsaber combat, create their own windmill and a lunar landing module that can safely deliver astronauts to the Moon.
One day you will be able to practice flying an airplane on a hydrodynamic flight simulator and even build your own little robot.
Zoos and nature lovers' societies will hold interactive lectures and master classes. Children will be able to learn how to grow peas, help oysters, and even explore the ocean and its inhabitants.
Wild World of Animals will present to the public kangaroo, cane toad, snake, bearded dragon, hissing cockroach, naked guinea pig, parrot, North American alligator and turtle.
Kids learn how incredible invertebrates survive in the wild with tabletop displays and live arthropod specimens animals!
Experts will explain how animals use camouflage to survive in the wild and how they inspired the creation of different types of camouflage.
Other projects will include a remote-controlled car, dancing robots, a robotic dog sled, a circuit design station, video game software stations and more.
