1. Barbie: A Cultural Icon

2. The Year of Flaco
- Where: New-York Historical Society: 170 Central Park W.
When: from February 7 to July 16.
The exhibition documents Flaco the Eagle Owl's journey, his rise to fame, his influence on legislation and the deep mark he left on our city's history.
After escaping from the Central Park Zoo, Flaco quickly became the city's unofficial mascot. The owl displayed the same traits that any New Yorker would have - independence, curiosity, ferocity. More details can be seen here.
3. Luna Luna: Forgotten Fantasy

4. Banksy Museum

5. Apex
- Where: American Museum of Natural History: 200 Central Park West.
- When: for four years from December 8, 2024.
While strolling through AMNH's Richard Gilder Center for Science, Education, and Innovation, you're bound to stumble upon Apex. Standing nearly 3,6 feet tall and 8,2 feet wide, the Stegosaurus fossil is hard to miss. After its discovery in December 2024, Apex quickly became the museum's most popular attraction, and for good reason. It's one of the most complete Stegosaurus specimens ever discovered, and is 80% preserved. Dinosaur lovers will surely appreciate this unusual find. More details can be seen here.
6. Baseball Cards from the Collection of Jefferson R. Burdick

It's safe to say the Syracuse native knows a thing or two about baseball, considering he donated more than 300 cards, postcards, and posters to the Met documenting the sport from 000 to 1895. There's something for every athlete and historian in this exhibit. More details can be seen here.
7. Breaking the Mold: Brooklyn Museum at 200
- Where: Brooklyn Museum: 200 Eastern Parkway, Brooklyn.
- When: from February 28, 2025 to February 22, 2026
The renowned Brooklyn institution is celebrating a milestone. What better way to celebrate than by showcasing its esteemed collection and throwing in a few new pieces for good measure?
The exhibition is divided into three parts: Brooklyn Made, which explores Kings Country art and design from the 200th century to the present day; Building the Brooklyn Museum and Its Collection, which shifts the focus to the landmark's iconic collections as well as the magnificent Beaux-Arts building itself; and Gifts of Art in Honor of the XNUMXth, which puts a contemporary spin on everything it presents. 8. Clayography in Motion: Adam Elliot's Memoir of a Snail

Film buffs will love this reimagined exhibition. It’s dedicated to stop-motion director Adam Elliott and his latest release, Memoirs of a Snail. If claymation has always caught your eye, watch one of the pros bring it to life. Visitors will be able to purchase hand-made puppets and video clips from the film, among other things.
