New York is officially recognized as the most stressful city in the US

It's an unwritten law of New York land: if you're going to live here, you're going to have to deal with stress. And new monitoring by research firm William Russell has confirmed this, reports Time-out.

Taking into account many factors, including financial concerns, cleanliness and safety of representatives LGBTQ+, the website has just published its ranking of the most stressful cities in the world. It's no surprise that New York is at the top of the list, given the results the US has placed. New York ranked 30th on the global list, tied with Santiago and Chile.

• suicide rate
• the cost of living
• purity
• poverty index
• stress level

Big Apple scores 276 for LGBTQ+ security, according to website William Russell. New York has a suicide rate of 14,51. The cost of living per person is £1101 (US$1388). In the cleanliness category, New York scored 33,93 points.

The index of the number of poor in here is only 2%. In Santiago, which by the way shared 30th place with New York, this figure is 4%.

But in terms of stress, the Big Apple and Santiago scored the same number of points - 4,3.

Ranking among US cities

When it comes to US states, Delaware is the least stressful, with a score of 3,46. It is followed by Vermont (3,62 points) and Washington (3,64 points).

New York is 42nd on this list with a score of 3,79. In terms of LGBTQ+ safety, the state scored 5,10.

The suicide rate per 100 population (countrywide rates were used) is 000. The cost of living index is 8,3. In the ranking of US states, the level of CO144 pollution was calculated. In New York it was 2 metric tons.

Air quality index - 12,7. Index of land allocated for parks and reserves - 12,7.
