New York invites students not to go to school and study virtually, but applications need to hurry

New York families have until July 6 to apply for the newly created School Without Walls program for high school students. It offers ninth grade students an alternative way of learning through hybrid and virtual tracks. Silive.
The goal is to give students independence through hybrid or virtual learning. And also help in project training and internships.
“The pandemic has highlighted the importance of the student experience for our children, giving them the opportunity to follow their interests and passions as part of their school journey,” Banks said.
HOW TO APPLY
Families of interested students must log into their MySchool account and select A School Without Walls Program Hybrid or Virtual pathway. Interested students will choose between a hybrid learning model and a virtual model. There are 100 places available for each study option.

The application deadline is Wednesday, July 6 for the 2022-2023 academic year.
Families will be notified of the lottery results by mid-July. Once 200 seats are filled, families will be asked to join a waiting list.
METHODS OF LEARNING
Virtual pathway
The virtual format offers a completely remote program. It is an interdisciplinary model based on projects, along with building a community in a virtual environment.
The virtual format will offer: daily online visit, daily classes in the humanities or STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). As well as classes in social studies, science, health, laboratory work, art and elective courses.
hybrid pathway
The hybrid format will combine full-time and distance learning opportunities for high school students entering the ninth grade.
Hybrid students will attend half-day classes at ul. 131 Livingston in Brooklyn. And then they will participate remotely, participating in both synchronous and asynchronous learning.
