New Airline to Launch Direct Flights Between New York and Dominican Republic: Tickets Are Very Cheap

From June 16, it will be easier to explore the Dominican Republic and Central America. arajet, the Dominican Republic's flagship airline, has announced a new flight from New York to Santo Domingo Airport (SDQ) in Las Americas. Roundtrip tickets start at $262, according to Travel Leisure.
Flights will operate from Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey, which serves the tri-state area and is connected to New York City by New Jersey Transit.
The new route will open on June 16, 2025. Fare benefits are available in Smart class and include one personal item, such as a backpack or handbag. For an additional fee, passengers can upgrade to Comfort. This includes advance seat selection, checked baggage and the ability to change flights. Tickets can be booked here.
The airline will operate flights to Santo Domingo on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
In less than 24 hours after sales began, more than 1000 passengers had booked tickets on the route.
Upon arrival in the Dominican Republic, passengers will be able to connect to 24 different destinations, including Aruba, Curacao, Costa Rica and Guatemala.
The airline is constantly evolving. New flights from Miami, Florida to Punta Cana will begin flying on April 11 – just in time for spring break or summer vacations.
