Requirements have been tightened due to the increase in the number of cases COVID-19 around the world. So New York authorities expect to prevent new outbreaks of the disease in the state. Travelers from which countries are affected by the innovation are reported on the website governor.ny.gov.
Travelers arriving in New York State from COVID-2 Level 3 and 19 countries must be quarantined and must complete a Health Form. State Governor Andrew Cuomo signed a decree on September 28.
Such measures will prevent the further spread of the coronavirus. It is dictated by the fact that the virus is now attacking countries around the world.
New York State requires mandatory quarantine for travelers from a Level 2 or 3 country from March 2020. This list includes all countries of the planet, except 31.
Now, the health department is obliged to warn of the need to comply with quarantine for all who come from such countries, and require them to fill out a medical form DOH Traveler Health Form. "The CDC's decision to end increased security screening at airports, coupled with an alarming increase in cases in countries around the world, poses an increased threat to New York's progress in the war on COVID-19," the governor said.
This will help track contacts and prevent the spread of COVID-19, Cuomo said.
