A new affordable housing program has launched in New York City. For example, in the Bronx, there are hundreds of apartments with monthly rents under $1000, with a minimum rent of $465.
New residential complex in the Bronx
The Peninsula complex, located at 1221 and 1225 Spofford Avenue, is the city's newest affordable housing project.
The building will have more than 300 apartments under the preferential program.

Families with incomes between $19,235 and $166,250 per year can apply.

Additionally, a waiting list has opened for the affordable housing program near Prospect Park in Brooklyn.
The property in question is Caton Flats LLC, located at 800 Flatbush Avenue.
Gas is included in the rent. Electricity is paid separately.
Residents of the complex will have access to:
- laundry;
- public terrace;
- lounge area;
- gym.

- Rent: from $596 to $1069 per month.
- Family composition: from 1 to 7 people.
- Annual income: $56,263 to $231,440.
