New Yorkers are offered to decide where the mayor's office will spend money: how to influence the city's budget

The Mayor's Office of Immigrant Affairs (MOIA) and the Citizens' Engagement Commission (CEC) are hosting roundtables so New Yorkers across New York City can get involved in the city's joint budgeting project. The People's Money initiative aims to empower every New Yorker to influence how the city's resources are spent.
The People's Money is the first citywide participatory budgeting process in which New Yorkers decide which projects to fund. All New Yorkers aged 11 and older (regardless of immigration status) will be able to decide how to spend the City Hall's $5 million to meet the needs of local communities across the city.

- Manhattan: October 28, 15:00 pm New York Public Library for the Performing Arts - Bruno Walter Auditorium (111 Amsterdam Avenue);
- Bronx: November 3, 17:00 pm at Bronx Works (1130 Grand Concourse);
- Staten Island: November 5, 13:30 p.m., Snug Harbor Cultural Center - Building P (1000 Richmond Terrace);
- Brooklyn: November 6 at 13:30 pm at the Brooklyn Museum - 3rd floor (200 Eastern Parkway);
- Queens: November 10, 17:00 pm at Queens Borough Hall - Helen Marshall Cultural Center (120-55 Queens Blvd).
