Nikita Yarovoy is a Ukrainian living with his family in Manhattan. He serves at Google, and today, due to quarantine, he is forced to work from home.

The family has not gone out for groceries for three weeks now - now this task is performed by delivery services. “Previously, they (purchases - Ed.) Were brought under the door, but in the last week the building manager decided not to let anyone in except residents. Now we have to pick it up on the first floor, ”Yarovaya said.

Products are delivered in paper bags. Since the virus can remain on such surfaces for up to three hours, then all purchases are immediately unpacked, and packets are thrown away.

Nikita's daughter, Emilia, is five years old. Now she has to buy new toys more often, because "it is very difficult to entertain a child at home." Since all schools a week after the introduction of quarantine switched to online education, now she also studies at home. “For me personally, it was unusual that five-year-olds can learn and socialize in this manner. But they did it, ”Nikita said.

Working from home is quite difficult because you need to concentrate on work and not be distracted by various factors. However, this has its pros and cons. “One of the advantages is that you can work in anything, even in pajamas,” said Nikita. "The biggest disadvantage is that there is no office, no cafe, no barista and no coffee." But he learned to sculpt dumplings, which takes some time and allows him to usefully spend time in quarantine.

They accidentally discovered a terrace on the roof of the house, and now they plan to walk there.
