The weather this week in New York is great - just in time for the sixth annual Open Garden NYC event. Hundreds of community gardens in New York will open their doors. Guests can enjoy many free activities. The edition told in more detail Secret nyc.
With the start of summer, what could be better than spending as much time as possible outdoors?!
This weekend, hundreds of gardeners across the city will be looking for people willing to help with gardening projects ranging from planting vegetables and flowers to hosting events. Both beginners and experienced gardeners are welcome.

GreenThumb Community Gardens are run by volunteers and serve as a great place to just get together, grow fruit and socialize, meet new people and explore some of the city's best green spaces.
Events in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx include cooking demonstrations, arts and crafts, garden tours, music, composting workshops, storytelling and more.
Open Garden NYC takes place on Saturday, June 3rd and Sunday, June 4th.
