Macy's 2021 Thanksgiving Parade: What to Expect from the Event

This year's parade Macy's in honor of Thanksgiving will be held in its usual - pre-pandemic - mode. Its route will traditionally pass through Manhattan, huge helium balloons will again reach for the sky, crowds of people will greet and cheer each other. For the first time this year, the ball of Baby Yoda will join the holiday. ABC 7 NY.

Macy's 95th Annual Thanksgiving Parade will take place this year. It will return to its previous regime after last year's restrictions due to the pandemic. The parade will feature over 70 themed balloons, over 800 clowns, 10 marching bands, nine groups of actors and, of course, Santa Claus.

New giant inflatable characters that we will see on November 25: Ada Twist; Grogu (Baby Yoda from The Mandalorian); and Pokemon characters Pikachu and Eevee. Broadway will feature characters from Six, Moulin Rouge! and "Evil", in addition, there will be famous dancers of the show Rockettes.

“For its 95th anniversary, Macy's parade has created an unforgettable show with an incredible array of balloons and incredible performers,” said Will Coss, executive producer of the parade.

Also, the parade will return such long-loved characters as Snoopy, “Boss Baby”, “The Wimpy Kid's Diary”, Messenger from “Paw Patrol”, Pillsbury Doboy, Red Titan from “Ryan's World”, Papa Smurf from “The Smurfs”, porcupine Sonic and SpongeBob.

The Macy's Parade is the traditional start to the festive season in New York and the United States.
