More than a third of American adults — nearly half of Gen Z and millennials — have a side hustle, according to research from Bankrate.

Extra money will help you pay bills or debts, save for a vacation or retirement, and more.

Flexible part-time jobs do not require a lot of commitment or experience.

Financial services company NetCredit analyzed thousands of publicly available job postings. The experts found hourly side jobs, which make the most money and “require little or no experience.”

According to the study, the highest-paying side job that fits these criteria is participating in focus groups, which pay an average of $28 an hour.

Virtual assistant, website tester, dog walker and nanny jobs round out the top five most lucrative part-time jobsThe average rate here is $21–$26 per hour.

"Some of the best options are part-time jobs that just require a 'regular person.' Lack of experience is actually an advantage," the report says.

"No experience" side jobs often use skills you may not have considered valuable.
