New Yorkers who want to ride this summer new attractions at Luna Park, will have to find a new way to get to Coney Island. This is because the New York City Transportation Authority (MTA) restricted traffic on line F on weekends.
The service outage is due to a traffic light upgrade project on the Culver Line between Church Av and West 8 St. According to the MTA, she is already about 70 years old.
The end result of the project will be more reliable transport links and fewer delays. However, you will have to endure weekly service outages this summer.
The following 12 stations will be closed during weekend upgrades:
- Ditmas Av
- 18 Av
- Avenue I
- Bay Pkwy.
- Avenue N
- Avenue P
- kings highway
- Avenue U
- Avenue X
- Neptune Av
- West 8 St
- Coney Island-Stillwell Av.
Work on the line began on April 28 and will last until September 11
During this period, F trains will not operate between Ditmas Av and Coney Island-Stillwell Av from 21:30 pm Friday to 4:30 am Monday.
