Holidays with kids: where to go in New York to meet Santa

Undoubtedly, one of the most magical moments of the Christmas season for children is meeting the gift-giver himself, Santa Claus. There are many places where you can meet Santa and believe in miracles again.

1. Macy's Santaland

Macy's Santaland is a classic Christmas destination offering an elf-filled winter wonderland. As well as holiday shopping and, of course, the opportunity to meet Saint Nick. Please note that this year's meeting with Santa requires a reservation. But places can be booked on the same day no later than 30 minutes. Those who visit the city around Thanksgiving and closer to Christmas will have a chance to meet Santa. He will be in the city from November 24 to December 24. Reservations open November 20th.

2. Bryant Park

From December 16 to 23, Santa will open a store in Bryant Park's winter village. Although meeting Santa outdoors may seem a little too chilly for some, you can fully immerse yourself in the winter wonderland of the park. As an added bonus, it doesn't cost a dime to take a picture with Santa here. You have two options: either use your own camera or phone, or ask the nearest Elf employee to take a picture for you. And soon you will be able to download it on the Flickr page. Then take a stroll through the Winter Village to go ice skating or buy some gifts.

Bryant Park is located on 6th Avenue between 40th and 42nd streets.

3. The Plaza

The eternally glamorous Plaza Hotel offers its meeting with Santa. From November 24 to December 24, Santa's workshop will be at the Food Hall in the Plaza lobby. There you can get a commemorative Santa photo package (starting at $29,99). Or even spend the money on a three-course dinner and a VIP photo package with Santa offered on weekdays. This Santa welcomes everyone. In partnership with AbilityPath and Autism Speaks, non-neurotype children will have the opportunity to meet Santa in a more accessible environment.

4. Bloomingdale's

Another place where you can do holiday shopping and hang out with Santa at the same time is Bloomingdale's. There you can take a photo with the symbol of Christmas. Chances are you'll have a shorter wait time than larger Santa Claus establishments like Macy's Santaland. Don't forget to take a look at the festive shop windows after your visit to St. Nick.

5. Rockefeller Center

From November 24 to December 24 at Rockefeller Center's Rock Center Cafe and Sea Grill, you have the opportunity to have breakfast with Santa. Toddlers and adults alike can admire the dazzling lights of Rockefeller Center's famous Christmas tree while enjoying special treats. After that, give up all that sugar by riding on an ice skating rink. Perhaps Santa will even join you!
