Kazakhstanis in New York took part in a rally against the film "Borat-2". The action took place in the very center of Manhattan, in Times Square.
The rally was organized by an American policeman of Kazakh origin Dimash Niyazov. He posted photos from the rally on his Instagram page. “I understand that there are many problems in the country. Every country has its own problems. But we will solve them step by step forward, ”wrote Dimash.
He also said that the rally was successful. The reason it was organized is that this film “humiliated our culture and our people, our country,” the organizer explained. “At first, many passers-by did not understand what was at stake. They thought it was just a movie, but they did not understand why we were protesting. And many came up, asked, took pictures, and we explained to them that this film humiliated our culture and our people, our country. And they realized that "Borat" was a fake, and supported us in this. In general, I think the rally had a positive effect, ”Niyazov added.

Kazakhstani Abzal Bekenov, who lives in New York, also showed video footage of his compatriots' protest against the film on the Internet. As can be seen on the recording, Kazakhstanis gathered in the main square in New York with posters and flags of Kazakhstan, sang Kazakh songs and played the dombra.
Earlier, Kazakhstanis in America spoke out against the film "Borat", because it strongly damages the reputation of Kazakhstan.

About the film
"Borat-2" (full title - "The next film about Borat: transferring a huge bribe to the American regime to benefit the once glorious people of Kazakhstan") is a sequel to the comedy feature film by British comedian Sasha Baron Cohen.
According to the plot, the main character, as in Borat, is Kazakhstani journalist Borat Sagdiev. After the release of the previous picture, he became a star. Now Borat finds himself in the United States, where he pretends to be other people in order to interview famous personalities. He will investigate the country's political life ahead of the presidential election, fight the pandemic with the coronavirus with a skillet, and communicate with opponents of Democrats.
The first reports of planned filming appeared back in 2007, but they were later refuted. At the beginning of September 2020, it became known that the film had already been completely shot, edited and shown to the leaders of the film industry. At the same time, the picture received a ridiculously long title.
On October 1, 2020, the first teaser and a full trailer of the film were presented.
It is noteworthy that the digital release of the film will take place on the eve of the US presidential election, which is scheduled for November 3, 2020.
