Are you ready for a gourmet adventure? Then head to Sushi By Bou Nomad for sushi tastings in total darkness. When even the eye is gouged out of the darkness around, all other senses are aggravated, so an extravaganza of taste awaits you.
The event is held in the style of "omakase" - a format of Japanese cuisine, in which guests completely surrender to the hands of the chef. They say that such an experience radically changes the idea of a traditional meal.
Eating sushi in the dark is scheduled for June 27 at Sushi By Bou Nomad, located on the 10th floor of the Hotel 32|32. The ticket costs $100 and includes 12 high-end sushi that the chef will choose for you (the menu is kept secret from guests).
In addition to the blindfold dinner, a welcome drink of sake awaits you. The event lasts approximately 90 minutes.
On the subject: Nine restaurants in New York with unlimited sushi on the Eat all you can principle
We perceive 90% of information through our eyes. We do not always see something, even when we eat. Therefore, when blindfolded, the absence of distractions heightens other senses. Instead of a table and a plate in front of your eyes, you pay attention to taste, smell, feel and sound. And taking into account the fact that you will try dishes from the menu for the first time, this will only enhance the effect.
If you decide on this incredible sushi adventure, you can buy tickets here. The event is scheduled for June 27, a specific time can still be selected.
